The Big Red Shed Huge well appointed workshop Servicing trucks & heavy machinery
COMPANY PROFILE

WELCOME TO OTAKI TRUCK SERVICES LTD
We repair and maintain a huge range of vehicles, not just trucks. We also service agricultural machinery, such as tractors, spreaders, farm vehicles and stock transporters.

“Time is money, as every “truckie” knows”.

Partners Terry Wiseman and Paul Jarvis bought their truck servicing business from Otaki’s “Chick Hill Commercials” six years ago. Both are diesel mechanics and, between them, bring a wealth of knowledge and more than eighty years experience of fixing heavy equipment and farm vehicles. John Hay, engineer and welder, is the third team member.

We service all makes and models of trucks, young and old, but are very familiar with older trucks.
It is important for vehicles to be serviced regularly, rather than waiting for them to break down and we stress the importance of preventive maintenance.
Routine maintenance includes inspecting brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts. Following inspection, the team repair or adjust parts that aren’t working properly, or remove and replace parts that are unable to be fixed.

All work can be undertaken from basic lubes to major repairs and servicing. From fitting accessories to extending and modifying chassis’s.
Accurate diagnosis of your trucks mechanical problem is of utmost importance. “The experience our staff has enables them to assess what’s needed”.

OUR SERVICES INCLUDE:

Diesel maintenance has grown increasingly complex and computerised construction vehicles with air-conditioned and ergonomically designed driver cabins, powered by ever more fuel-efficient, low emission engines are now a far cry from the days of heavy, thundering all-steel machines of old.

Otaki Truck Service have become very versatile – adapting to customer needs and new technologies, and extend our services over a wide area – the entire Kapiti Coast north to Levin and as far south as Porirua and Grenada North and, have regular clients coming from as far away as the Wairarapa

The team are happy for people to “pop in” for their skilled repair work, although prefer pre-arranged bookings and, scheduled servicing of your vehicle can be done at a time to suit you. We can get you in and out within a couple of hours with a pre-arranged booking.

Otaki Truck Services opening hours are 8:00am till 5:00pm during the week and they also provide service on Saturday mornings.

Otaki Truck Services are looking good in a brand new, barn style shed of eye-catching red and the business is ideally sited to take advantage of Otaki’s growing significance as a regional business and commercial hub.
Poke your head around the corner of the well lit, ventilated shed and you’ll see ordinary, everyday, hardworking vehicles, such as buses, rubbing shoulders with the huge beasts of the machinery world – earthmoving equipment like bulldozers, graders, rollers, scrapers, excavators and dump trucks.
