Everyone is welcome to come to Swanson RSA however strict membership regulations require non members to be signed in.
Affiliated association members can sign themselves in but all other visitors must be signed in by a Swanson member. Please remember that if you sign someone in, you are responsible for the conduct of that person.

Our Building and what we can Offer
Our facilities are available for hire to members self catering may be allowed but this must be approved at the time of booking
Dress regulations apply to all guests unless dispensation has been approved by the committee.

Welfare
Our welfare officers are available to members to help with manner of needs.

Men’s & Women’s Darts
Darts is on the up and up this year with new players joining our successful teams.
Currently we have teams in the:
   #  Ladies Monday night – (Western Auckland Ladies) 3 teams
   #  Men’s Tuesday night – Corban Cup 4 A grade team,s and 1 B grade team
   #  Mixed Friday night – West Auckland Darts 1 team
   #  Mixed Saturday  – City of Sails 1 Premier and 2 A grade.
Anyone who wants to come along on Friday nights for fun darts can
Swanson RSA dart flights are available from the Lower Deck Bar $2 ea
2010 dart shirts are available from the darts committee
New dart players are always welcome

Stingray Fishing Club
The 2010 AGM was held in the clubrooms on Sunday 4th July
The new committe as voted in are:
   Club Captain: Mark Rawson
   Assistant Captain: Mike Kernot
   Sec/Tres: Kevin Wigmore
   Assistant Sec/Tres: Janice Kake

Competition Trophies are for the following categories
   #  Heaviest Snapper, Kahawai, Gurnard and Travally
   #  Surfcasting
   #  Achievement and Pillock Award ( for the silliest thing of the year as voted by on the members)

The snapper leader board is for the top 25 snapper weighed in during the club days and is always well contested.

Also the Annual Fishing Competition has been going for 12 years now and is open to anyone so long as at least 1 team member is a financial member of this RSA
These ladies had their first experience at surfcasting. Although all the intentions are there, there seems to be some confusion as to where the sea actually is.

The Calender for the upcoming fishing season has been decided. Just follow the link for the latest
Subs
   Subs for the 2010/2011 season are now due
   $10 per person until August 30th the $20
   Be quick or be broke

Stingers Golf
A long tradition in the RSA has been the golf club. As well as playing locally they travel away for a weekend of golf and in March is the annual competition.
The Stingers really standout on the golf course. Perhaps not for their golf as for the bright yellow shirts they wear.

Indoor Bowls
Monday nights is the night for indoor bowls.
New players are always welcome

Membership Catagories
It is easy to join Swanson RSA. There are several categories of membership to join our club,
   #  Returned
   #  Service (Current or retired service personnel)
   #  Associate
   #  Youth (13 -18yrs)
You can join as a Returned and Service member if you are or have been in the services or returned, your application can be processed immediately (with proof of service details).
You do not have to be Returned or Service personnel you can join as an Associate member with all the same rights as. Simply download the form and fill in. If you do not have someone to nominate or second you just come into the office and we will help you. We will also take the photo for you.

You are welcome to transfer to Swanson RSA if you are a member of another RSA. There is no charge if you are financial. Simply fill in the details on the Transfer form.
Our charges are as set out below to join the RSA
Returned and Service – $35 per year
Associate $50 one off admin fee then $60 per year
Youth $20 one off admin fee then $10 per year

Attire and Conduct
Head Gear  - All headgear must be remove when inside the building. (Medical reason exempt)
Clothing  - A reasonable standard of dress is required at all times. Men collars worn after 7.30pm. Summer dress code during summer months (Daylight saving times). Watch notices for details.
Footwear  - Must be worn at all times. No jandles after 7.30pm
Conduct  - Good behaviour is expected and as we have a wide range of ages for members and guests, bad language is not tolerated

This is a guide so please check with management if you have any doubts.
These are long standing traditions within the RSA so please don't be offended if you are asked to conform
