R & R Charters has recently changed hands but the new owners & operators Craig & Tabatha Farr can assure you that the same excellent fishing, diving and scenic tours are available throughout the beautiful Mercuy Islands and wider Mercury Bay.
Craig, the skipper, brings to this new charter business a wealth of fishing experience.

Our Fishing Charters can be either both full day or half day in duration. Contact us directly to secure our latest rates and to confirm availability.
By arrangement we can often pick you up adjacent to your favourite beach (i.e. Opito Bay) thus giving you even more fishing time.

R & R is an 8 metre vessel of the walkaround design - giving ample fishing space for all guests. It is of course fully surveyed and carries all the required Maritime saftey equipment and Craig and crew operate to their "safety at sea" plan.

The boat's fishing  configuration is ideal for bottom fishing as well as  Marlin & Tuna Sport fishing.
Powered by a diesel marine engine capable of delivering a top speed of 30 knots and the ability to sustain a cruising speed of 25 knots it means you have more fishing time and less travelling time in your charter as Craig explores his traditional "hotspots" .
Many of our R & R clients on our boat have returned home boasting of the 20 lb + snapper they caught on our charter.

At R & R Charters we specialise in strayline fishing which in our experience will produce larger snapper and provides a much better chance of you catching that trophy kingfish.

We are equipped with an onboard bait tank which maintains a better quality "livie" for presentation to the target - be it Marlin or Kingfish.

• All baits and rods are supplied - you can bring your favourite "weapon"
• All fish caught will be filleted for you on board - ready to take back to your motel or holiday house to enjoy on the barbie.
